ACADEMY CONSULTATION

In September 2025, after almost a year working informally with Bourne Education Trust (BET), we formally entered into Associate Membership. In our time working with BET, we have seen the benefits that it brings our school in a range of areas including opportunities for sharing resources; access to a wider network of expertise and professional development for staff; enhanced leadership support and meaningful collaboration with other schools.

The Governing Body is now formally proposing that our school converts to an academy under the framework of the Academies Act 2010. As the initial step in this process, we are consulting on whether the proposed academy conversion should proceed, and, if so, on a proposed change to our term dates that would take effect from the 2026/27 academic year. The consultation will run from 3rd November to Friday 28th November.
