Our School’s Online Subscriptions

We are delighted to say that the logins for children in Year 1 to 6 have now been fixed, and your children have been given a sticker with their login details. We have managed to set the same username and password for all of the software we use, and we hope that this will make it easier for yourselves and the children as they move between programs.

We have included a web address for all of the programs on the sticker, and below you will find a brief explanation of each one. Some of the programs will be introduced to the children by their teacher during the course of the term, but we wanted to give you a chance to take advantage of our subscriptions right away. Please email your child’s teacher if you are having any problems logging in to any of them.

Times Table Rock Stars is aimed primarily at children from year 2.  It offers a fun way for children to practise times tables and division facts, by allowing them to collect coins and compete against their classmates.

Numbots is a maths program primarily aimed at children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, or Years 1&2. It is an excellent way to build early number understanding due to its visual approach.

Spelling Shed contains spellings for children of all ages. Players are read words and they need to either select the correct letters or type them, depending on the level they have chosen to play on. Once again, children enjoy collecting points, and they can use them to ‘buy’ outfits etc. for their ‘avatar’.

Maths Shed is similar to Spelling Shed, but contains a range of maths activities, including times tables and number bonds.  It is also for children of across the primary age range.

Purple Mash contains a wide range of games and activities linked to the National Curriculum.

The teaching staff have been learning how to use Google Classroom which will be used to set and respond to work for our children in the event of a lockdown or in circumstances where they may need to remain at home. Some year-groups will also be using this platform to set homework for the children. You will hear more about Google Classroom soon along with some materials to familiarize parents with how the platform works. PD
